Hope alliance to host seventh annual leadership luncheon
on Friday, October 9, 2009 July 21, 2009 Keynote speaker for annual event to be Georgia Durante, Hollywood stuntwoman and author Hope Alliance is seeking community nominations for its seventh annual Leadership Luncheon & Candlelight Vigil to be held 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Friday, October 9, 2009, at the United Heritage Center at Dell Diamond. The event will honor the contributions of the community’s leaders, mentors and pioneers with a special award to commemorate Hope Alliance’s 25th anniversary. To submit an award nomination, send a one-page biographical sketch of the nominee to Hope Alliance at 1011 Gattis School Rd. #106, Round Rock, TX 78664. Please note the nominee’s category: Arts, Business, Education, Health/Human Services, Media, Philanthropy, Public Service or Volunteerism. The deadline for nominations is August 15, 2009. The keynote speaker for this year’s luncheon will be Georgia Durante who is best known for her work as a Hollywood stuntwoman. In her book, The Company She Keeps, Durante shares her story as a survivor of an abusive marriage. Olga Campos, KVUE news anchor, will emcee the event.
