Group Counseling Options
Find the group that best suits your needs.
Please note, groups are held at different times throughout the year.
HEART group is an domestic violence support group that meets one night a week every week. This is an open group, meaning any client can attend as often or as little as able. Be sure to arrive on time; after this time admittance to the group will not be permitted. This group covers dynamics of domestic violence with a different topic covered each week. This is a great place to meet and connect with other clients who have also experienced domestic violence.
Adult Sexual Assault Group
Hope Alliance also offers an Adult Sexual Assault (ASA) group that meets in the spring. This is a therapeutic group facilitated by our counselors and is a closed group. This means that once the group begins, members commit to coming every week for the duration of group, and are only permitted to miss one session. This group typically runs for 8 weeks. This group looks at how sexual assault affects issues like safety, trust, intimacy, and relationships.
Adults Molested as Children
Adults Molested as Children (AMAC) is a closed therapeutic group facilitated by our counselors that meets for 11 weeks in the fall. This group focuses on child sexual abuse and offers a therapeutic environment to discuss the affects of the abuse with others who have had similar experiences.
