VOLUNTEER WITH HOPE ALLIANCE
Thank you for your interest in volunteering with us at Hope Alliance. There are a variety of ways for you to get involved. We depend on individuals and groups in the community to help provide services to the many survivors of family and sexual violence.
Fill out the volunteer application today! Orientations are held once a month in the evenings, with the ability to schedule a daytime orientation if needed.
Have computer skills or don't mind stuffing envelopes, then we need your help! There is always more work that needs to be done than hours in the day. As an admin volunteer you help each department with tasks that need to be completed.
Have a special set of skills? Are you a Photoshop guru or enjoy public speaking? Then let us know that, too! We always need expert help in areas.
Work with Survivors
There are many ways to work with survivors as a volunteer. From answering the hotline to holding water days for the kids at the shelter, your time and energy are never wasted!
Join a Committee or the Board of Directors
Joining a working committee or the Board allows you to help the agency at the 100,000 foot level. You will be working on the strategic goals of the organization as we work towards expansion. No need to be a nonprofit expert, we need experts in other areas like marketing, construction, legal and accounting.
WHAT VOLUNTEERS SAY:
KIND WORDS FROM OUR CURRENT AND PAST VOLUNTEERS
"I really enjoy working with the victims. Seeing their progress. Knowing they are moving into a better part of their lives. This is very rewarding"
"I always feel welcome and part of the team. I help out at the office and boy, there is always something to do!"
"I teach aerobics once a week at the shelter. Sometimes there are six ladies at class, sometimes just one, but every time I leave feeling the ladies lives were a bit better after the class."
"I want to tell you how impressed I have been with the quality of training we've received. No other organization I've worked with has been as efficient at mobilizing new volunteers. Each day it becomes more obvious that I made the right choice reaching out to Hope Alliance."
